CHILD CARE FEES
Fee
Fee has to be paid by last date of the previous month for the upcoming month. Also, parents provide 12 post-dated cheques to JCLC when submit all the registration form. If child care subsidy is authorized, parent agrees to pay the portion of the fee not covered by subsidy also on the first day of the month.
If payment is not received there will be an additional fee of $5.00 per day until paid is in full.
Fees are calculated on a monthly basis and will be the same for the entire calendar year unless a fee increase has been approved by Centre to parents 30 days before it takes effect or there is a change to your child’s schedule (for example: your child’s category of care changes, your child’s schedule changes from full-time to part-time or part-time to full time care). One month’s written notice, at the 1st of the month prior to any schedule change is required (for example: if your schedule change will take effect in June, your notice must be given to the centre in writing on or before the 1st day of May). All schedule changes will take effect the 1st of each month.
The JCLC will be closed on the following statutory(public) holidays and school district statutory holiday: Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, BC Day, Labor Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day.
The monthly fee will not be reduced for these days.
The Centre is closed during Summer break as the last two weeks of August and Winter break as the last two weeks of December. Tuition fees are to be paid in full in July and December.
The Centre is closed for bereavement leave if there happens for a death in the family. This leave is 3 paid days bereavement days a year however if the caregiver goes over 3 days then fees will be prorated.
If the caregiver is sick or has family emergency or etc. , an alternative caregiver will or will not be arranged. If care is not provided, this leave is 5 paid days a year. If the caregiver goes over 5 days then fees will be prorated.

Please note:
Jjii children’s Learning Centre does not issue credits for sick days, vacation days, or any unexpected centre closures.
Some examples could include but are not limited to snow days, black out days, all natural disasters, acts of terrorism, etc. This policy also applies to any part-time children.
Deposit
Deposit fee is one-month fee; This deposit not only will be applied for last month payment when proper notice is received but also is non-refundable if you decide not to enroll any time after the registration interview. No interest is earned on the deposit. Also, deposit will be required at the registration interview.
Registration Fee
There is a one-time registration fee of $200 to cover registration & emergency supplies and non-refundable.
Method of Payment
Child care fees with 12 months post-dated cheques are to be paid to Centre on or to be paid before the first day of each month.
If parents have a plan to withdraw child(ren) from the centre, all the left post-dated cheques will be repaid to the parents at the last day of attendance.
Fee payments made by a cheque and returned to us by the bank will be subject to a Service Charge. Should a second cheque be returned, we would require all future payments to be made in cash.

Multiple Child Discount
Jiji Children’s Learning Centre offers a discount for families who have two or more children enrolled.
The discount is applied to the oldest child enrolled at Jiji. Because of the nature of the programs, no discount is available for children enrolled in the Infant, Before School, After School.
Late Fee
A late pick-up fee will be charged when a child is picked-up after her/his scheduled time. The rate for this late pick-up fee is as follows: first 10 minutes - $50.00 and $10.00 for each additional 5 minutes thereafter. This fee is to be paid directly to the caregiver who was required to stay late and they are obliged to provide a receipt to the parent.
Withdrawal of Child Care Space
If parents want to withdraw your child from the centre for any reason, one month’s notice in writing is required. For example, if you wish to withdraw your child as of March 1st then written notice dated no later than January 31st is required. Parents are still required to pay the full monthly fees for the month in which their child care is terminated.
Non-payment of fees will also be a reason for withdrawal from the Centre.
Update and/or Change Term
JCLC have the right to update and/or change the terms of your contract as needed. The parent will receive a written notice of any changes, 30 days in advance of the changes taking effect.
